Nidwalden - Uri - Schwyz 🇨🇭 The Sigifamily founding Cantons tour
A great birthday of Marc at Lake Lucerne or rather at the Vierwaltstättersee in Beckenried in Nidwalden. Beggäriäd - s’scheenschtä Dorf am scheenschtä See?! The most beautiful village at Lake Lucerne?! Beckenried and the surrounding area is definitely worth a visit. The overnight stay was at the fantastic Hotel Nidwaldnerhof in Beckenried.
Of course we had to make a detour to see William Tell: Altorf and Tellsplatte! In the canton of Uri!
We continued on to the canton of Schwyz, where we couldn't miss the Füdliheizer and other delicacies from Felchlin.

FORT FÜRIGEN 🪖 From 1941 to today
Fort Fürigen lies hidden behind the rugged rock faces of Bürgenberg near Stansstad. Built during the Second World War, it was part of the Swiss National Redoubt, the defence strategy developed by the Swiss government at that time. With its two cannons, Fort Fürigen was built to avert the advance of German troops in the Alpine region. The fort also remained in operation during the Cold War, reequipped for new threat scenarios.
The exhibition focuses on the fort’s construc- tion, its function and use on Lake Lucerne. It takes a closer look at social developments in the region—but also examines how secret this fort actually was. And it provides insights into everyday life of the men who served in Fürigen until the 1980s. Experience a part of Swiss history firsthand!

Europapark is always a hit. After the Easterweekend we could still enjoy the Easter Eggs throughout the park. This time, bluefire was a little bit a pain. 3 times trouble & no launch 🤪 But safety first. We understand.
Not to forget our Hotel Bell Rock with Mr. Captain Finest. A realky great guy 👨✈️ It has been a wonderful time at Europapark.
