Discover Los Angeles: The Sigifamily Hollywood Story πŸŽ₯ Hollywood made here

It‘s Movie Time! The exemplary Hollywood sign was actually called ‘Hollywoodland’. In the year 1923, it was put up there as an advertisement for a real estate development plot of that name. Now it stands there, illuminated as a tribute to movies and monumental works of Hollywood and American cinema.

Red Rocks 🎸 Buffalo Bill 🦬 Golden ⛏️Boulder

Our daytrip started at the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. There‘s really no better place to see the stars. The Visitor Center houses exhibits related to the park and amphitheatre, special event spaces including the Southwest Heart of the Rock Theatre and the Red Rocks Hall of Fame. And Red Rock is also a park. All around you are 738 total acres of deer, dinosaurs, pines and prairie, geological wonders and spectacular vistas.

Next stop is the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave. After the civil war, William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody scouted for the Army and gained the nickname “Buffalo Bill” as a hunter providing meat for the railroad workers. Buffalo Bill’s show business career began on December 17, 1872, in Chicago. In 1917 Buffalo Bill died while visiting his sister’s home in Denver. According to his wife Louisa, it was his choice that he be buried on Lookout Mountain overlooking Denver and the plains.

Afterwards we‘ve been to Golden. Golden, Colorado is rich with culture, outdoor activities, scenic beauty, thriving businesses, and friendly people, but the City’s origins are largely thanks to another valuable resource – gold. So, we visited the Golden Mining Museum.

The daytrip ended in Boulder or rather at the Pearl Street with great shops and restaurants!

Landed in The Mile High City Denver and got to The Garden of the Gods in...

From its beginnings as a gold mining town during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush in 1858 to its evolution into one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the country today, Denver is steeped in history. And today, Denver is the cultural epicenter of the Rocky Moutain region.

Colorado State Capitol: The Colorado State Capitol was constructed in the 1890s an is the eastern edge of Denver's Civic Center. The official elevation of Denver (One Mile Above Sea Level.) is measured on the West steps outside the building, where the step is engraved.

Denver Mint: It's a rich history of the United States Mint and there, they produce billions of coins each year for the American public. In beginning is in 1858, where Gold was discovered in Colorado. In 1862, the Congress established a Denver Mint.

Big Blue Bear by Blue Bear Studios: Peering inquisitively through the large windows at the Denver Convention Center, a 40 foot faceted lapis blue bear appears to be pushing it's nose and paws against the glass, checking out the happenings inside. The bear's gesture and size evokes a dialogue between viewer and the viewed. The sculpture is titled, "I See What You Mean.“

Larimer Square: A storied past an a vibrant future: dining, shopping and entertainment. Denver got its start on Larimer Street between 14th and 15th in the late 1800s. Named Larimer Square for the pioneering General William Larimer, it was the city’s first block, its first commercial district, home to its first residence and first city hall, and was the city’s first designated historic district.

Denver Union Station: A historic landmark in the heart of the Mile High City. First opened in 1881, rebuilt in 1914, and revitalized 100 years later in 2014, the Station is at once a preserved monument to the city’s past, a celebrated placemaker of today, and a visionary beacon for Denver’s future.

Garden of the Gods: Garden of the Gods Park is a registered National Natural Landmark featuring dramatic views. It‘s free and open to the public!
